Has there ever been an IGBO tournament in December?

Here in Albuquerque, we are in the early stages of planning to host our first tournament next year. After reviewing the calendar, we had a difficult time finding a weekend that did not conflict with other tournaments in the west or nearby Texas. However, the first weekend in December was suggested as an option as there are no other December IGBO tournaments.

Just wondering if this is too close to the holidays or still a viable weekend to host a tournament. Any thoughts?
